NRI’s body to arrive from Georgia today

KAITHAL: The body of Sher Singh (20), a youth of Ratta Khera Lukman village in the district who died in Georgia some time ago, has been handed over by the Georgian authorities to a person nominated by his family last evening.

The body of Sher Singh (20), a youth of Ratta Khera Lukman village in the district who died in Georgia some time ago, has been handed over by the Georgian authorities to a person nominated by his family last evening.

Angrej Singh, father of the deceased, said that they had received information from the man who had been handed over the body. The man would reach Delhi tomorrow morning along with the body.

Angrej Singh said for bringing the body of his son from Georgia, they had met many people, including some leaders. But recently they called on Ishwar Singh, member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, who contacted officials of the MEA. Following his efforts, the Georgian authorities handed over the body. He said efforts were also being made to bring the bodies of two other youths to India. — OC
