NGT to hear waste mgmt plant case

The Delhi Bench of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) will hear the case of garbage processing plant located at Dadu Majra tomorrow.

On July 14, the Shimla Bench of the NGT had directed the Jaypee Group to start the garbage processing plant at Dadu Majra by July 27. Yesterday, the Jaypee Group re-started the plant. Earlier, as the company had stopped processing garbage, the MC was directly dumping garbage daily at the dumping ground The plant had stopped working on July 11 over the issue of tipping charges. The MC had moved the NGT against the decision of the Jaypee Group.
