New Rotary Club members sworn in

The installation ceremony of the Rotary Interact Club was hosted by The Indian Cambridge School here today. The Rotary Club, Dehradun, was established in 1940 with a selfless approach towards community service. It is the oldest club in Dehradun and has contributed substantially in providing several leaders to the society.

The member schools that were present on the occasion were The Indian Cambridge School, Doon International School, Hilton’s School, Himjoyti School, Presidency International School, Brooklyn School and Kasiga School.

Principal, The Indian Cambridge School, Rachana Srivastava welcomed chief guest David Hilton, district governor, Rotary Club, Dehradun. Dr S Frooq, president of The Rotary Club, Dehradun, presided over the event. Jyoti Dhawan, vice-president, Rotray Club; Joginder Singh, secretary, Rotary Club; DS Mann, director, Youth Services, Rotary Club; Brig Ramesh Bhatia, VSM/BAR(RTD); RK Bakhshi and many others were present on the occasion.

Joginder Singh shared his ideas on the theme and activities of the club. The highlights of the programme were power point presentations by member schools showcasing their strengths.

The newly elected office bearers of the Interact Club were formally sworn in by the David Hilton, Dr S Farooq and other important dignitaries and senior Rotarians.

Syed Mohammad Yasar, director, The Indian Cambridge School, proposed the vote of thanks.
