Mussoorie, December 5

Mussoorie International School has become Uttarakhand’s first all-girls school to be affiliated to the International Baccalaureate (IB).

The school attained the International Baccalaureate (IB) World School status for its diploma programmes for Class XI and XII.

The IB is a globally recognised education model that opens prospects of international education for students. With this affiliation for IB diploma, the school can give its higher secondary students a pathway to explore new avenues after completing their schooling.

The IB offers four programmes of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills of students. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme primarily aimed at students aged 16–19. The programme is designed to give students a broad, well-rounded international education and the skills needed for success at university and beyond.

Speaking about the development Priya Peter, principal of Mussoorie International School said, “MIS is a unique institution that upholds Indian culture and values, creating a blend of traditional Indian ‘sanskars’ amid a modern, 21st century outlook. We are excited about providing global opportunities to our students and helping them create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.”
