Mussoorie, January 11

Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi, agitated at the delay in various development projects that were initiated by him in the past, resorted to Gandhigiri by presenting a rose each to the PWD Chief Engineer and other officials during his visit to the PWD office at Dehradun, today.

The MLA warned officials that if projects initiated by him delayed continuously he would be forced to come out with the affected residents and launch a massive agitation against officials concerned.

The MLA said he was running from pillar to post for start of the projects, but the department

had not responded to his plea leaving the residents in a lurch.

He said several other development projects were lying pending in his constituency due to indifferent attitude of the state government and the lackadaisical approach of PWD officials. The Chief Engineer PWD assured that he would direct his subordinate officials to begin the work on the Annarwala-Johdi-Malsi road from February 15. Joshi also demadned construction of the road from Rajopur Tiraha to Kairwan gaon, Chamroli-Sarona road, PPCL-Sarona road, Gunjiyal Gaon-Galjwadi Marg and widening of the Mussoorie-Dehradun road.
