Mufti sets deadline for projects in Kupwara

Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today visited Kupwara district to review the development works. He stressed the importance of health and road connectivity sectors in rural areas.

The Chief Minister said his government would ensure that ration was distributed among people as per the Census of 2011, a matter he had taken up with the Central government. He also sanctioned funds and fixed deadlines for completion of various projects in the Langate, Handwara, Kupwara and Sogam areas.

During his visit, Mufti inaugurated the Tourist Interpretation Centre at Chotipora in Langate, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore. The centre has been sanctioned under the Tourism Department’s Scheme for Development of Circuits and Destinations.

While inspecting Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Langate, the Chief Minister released Rs 1 crore and fixed August 30, 2015, as the deadline for making it functional.

The CMalso released Rs 1 crore for completion of the Emergency Block and Rs 50 lakh for truss roofing of Sub-District Hospital, Sogam, for making it functional by July 19 this year.
