At Sanskriti School, Ranipur, Mother’s Day was celebrated with active participation of mothers and children in various activities.

Director of Sanskriti Play School Divya Panjwani shed light on the role of mother and 101 years of inception of Mother’s Day worldwide. Panjwani said that Mother’s Day has regularly been celebrated across the globe since 1914 as a mark of respect to mothers and their contribution to the humanity.

“Mother’s role is foremost in shaping the growth,personalty and upbringing of a child, which is also pivotal in strengthening the family bonding. Today, with the younger generation having access to all the latest gadgets and tools, mother’s role has assumed more importance as the younger lot can easily get drifted on the wrong path,” said Panjwani.

At the occasion Mother’s Day all students who are studying in Sanskriti School were invited to school and various events were held especially for them. Welcoming mothers, function coordinator Seema Dayani told them about the importance of a mother in a child’s life. Dayani added that mother is a person who stands by us through thick and thin and one who gives immeasurable happiness to the child.

A card making competition was the one in which a majority of the women participated with their children. Monika, mother of Divyaditya, Sonal, mother of Maulik ,Pragati, mother of Achman, and Shanti, mother of Hriyadesh were adjudged first three winners. Asha, mother of Naksh, and Shikha, mother of Aditi ,were given consolation prizes.

Neha coordinated the Mother’s Day events,with prizes being given jointly to the mothers and their children.
