Family members of a youth, who is missing since February 1, blocked the Jind-Gohana road and raised slogans against the police here today.
The road remained blocked for three hours. The protesters later lifted the blockade following assurances from Julana MLA Parinder Dhull.
Vikas got married with Nirmala of Piyao Majra in 2014. Last year the couple got separated. His wife lodged a dowry case with the Hansi police. On February 1, Vikas had gone to the Hansi court to attend a hearing, but had been missing since then. His family members have been making rounds of various police stations and met some ministers too, but they allege that till date the police have not taken any action to find Vikas.
“The in-laws of Vikas have kidnapped him from the Hansi court and he is in danger. We have visited the offices of all senior police officers, but till date there is no proper action to recover him,” alleged Ram Rattan, father of Vikas.
