Ministers: People should boycott China-made goods

Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij today appealed to the public to boycott goods made in China and use products made in India only.

Speaking to mediapersons here, the ministersaid, “Products made in China are badly affecting our market.”

He said we must admit the money China made by doing business with India was being used to make arms used against us. Vij said, “The government cannot ban goods made in China but if people decide not to use them, how will they sell?”

Jind: Social Justice & Empowerment Minister minister Krishan Bedi today appealed to the people to avoid purchase of products made in China during the festival season.

The minister said, “We are uplifting Chinese economy by buying their goods whereas China’s foreign and defence policy is not fair towards India. Hence, we should boycott their products.”

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already made an appeal in this regard.

He was here to attend a meeting with district administration officials regarding preparations for the state level function to mark Maharishi Valmik Jayanti on October 15.

The minister said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh will attend the function during which various public welfare scheme would be announced. — OC
