A day after the MC General House decided to provide free treatment to stray dog-bite victims, the victims were given free treatment today.

The victims, who went to the Sector 19 Anti-rabies Dispensary, were given free treatment today.

As many as 40 dog-bite cases were reported at the Sector 19 dispensary and received free treatment, a senior MC official said. Free treatment also began at the Sector 38 dispensary.

The MC had decided that the free treatment would be on a six-month trial basis. Later, after analysing the report for six months, further decision would be taken. — TNS
