Mastermind of Rs 17 lakh loot held

Sandeep of Baiyanpur village was arrested yesterday for alleged involvement in an incident of loot near Lehrada village of the district on December 8. He was sent into 4-day police custody by a local court today.

Superintendent of Police Ashwin Shenvi said Sandeep, along with two accomplices, conspired to loot Rs 17.56 lakh from Sandeep, a resident of Mirch Mandi. The latter was on his way from Narela to Sonepat, when the bag containing cash was snatched by Sandeep’s motorbike-borne two accomplices, who were dressed in Delhi Police uniform.

The police are making efforts to nab the remaining two accused.
