Master’s in traffic management

The Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE), College of Traffic Management, Ghaziabad, has started offering Asia’s first two-year  post graduation (PG) degree — Master of Science (MSc) in Traffic Management to equip students with skills to manage and design  the traffic and transportation management systems.

The course will deal with transport & traffic engineering, driver training and fleet management, road safety audits, road crash investigations, traffic engineering, forensic engineering, road asset financing and post-crash management. “With transport and traffic systems under pressure to deliver better economic, social and environmental outcomes for the community there is a growing demand for professionals who are prepared to address these challenges.” said Dr Rohit Baluja, President, Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) .

The first global MSc in Traffic Management has been given approval by the Government of Haryana and Maharshi Dayanand University to be conducted at IRTE’s College of Traffic Management from August 2018.  Maximum of 30 seats are being offered to include in-service participants and students from South East Asia.

“Graduates from the programme typically, will be able to  work as senior professionals in local, state and federal government agencies such as road and transport authorities, public and private sector transport operators and local and international consulting organisations.” added Dr Baluja.

The aim of unveiling this course is to translate or promote such MSc in other institutes across South East Asia as a part of the MOU between IRTE & United Nations Economic Commission for Europe .

It is open to all graduates.
