Manoj Jain, a claimant of the Congress ticket from Haridwar city, today said, if the party leadership nominates him from the seat, he would try to ensure that the constituency becomes a party stronghold.

Manoj Jain, son of former municipal committee chairperson late Paras Kumar Jain, while addressing party workers here today, said for the past three elections respective Congress candidates had failed to defeat three time BJP MLA Madan Kaushik, but if given a chance, he would try to reverse the trend.

“I have been active in the City segment for a decade. Owing to political legacy and mass popularity of my father Paras Kumar Jain, people recognise and appreciate my working. I will try to take along all party leaders and grassroots workers. The Congress will surely emerge victorious this time,” said Jain. He also made it clear that in the capacity of dedicated party leader he was seeking ticket, but if denied he will work sincerely for the nominated party candidate.
