Man killed as auto overturns

CHANDIGARH: A 31-year-old man died after the auto-rickshaw he had hired overturned near Burail, Sector 45, last night.

A 31-year-old man died after the auto-rickshaw he had hired overturned near Burail, Sector 45, last night. The police said the auto was being driven rashly.

According to the police, the victim has been identified as Baljinder Singh, a resident of Sohana.

The police said the auto driver, Ajay Kumar, was driving recklessly, which led to the accident. The accident took place when the auto driver took a sharp turn at a high speed.

Passersby informed the police after which Baljinder was rushed to the GMCH-32, where he died this morning.

A case has been registered against the auto driver, who was arrested and later released on bail.
