Man found dead a day before his wedding

Dehradun, February 19

A man was found dead under mysterious circumstances a day before his wedding here today. The deceased has been identified as Shaukat Ali. His body was sent for autopsy.

According to information, Shaukat had gone to market for shopping yesterdat as his marriage was fixed for February 20. When Shaukat did not return, relatives searched him at Vikasnagar, Sahaspur and Premnagar. His cellphone was switched off since he went missing. Locals called the police when they found his body hanging from a tree in the Dholkot forest area.

Police reached the spot and brought down his body from the free. Preliminary investigation revealed that Shaukat had committed suicide as he was depressed due to his marriage. An investigation is on. — TNS
