Man commits suicide in Sec 49

CHANDIGARH: A 32-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree in Sector 49 on Sunday night.

A 32-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree in Sector 49 on Sunday night.

Sources said the victim, had been identified as Sonu, a resident of EWS flats in Sector 49.

The police said the victim left home after his parents slept on Sunday night and committed suicide by hanging from a tree near the house.

The incident came to light in the morning after which the police was informed. The police have initiated inquest proceedings at the Sector 49 police station.
