Training session held for school bus drivers

In order to apprise the school bus drivers of the importance of their role in ensuring the safety of the schoolchildren, a local NGO-Avoid Accident-has initiated a special training session for the school bus drivers today.

A number of school bus drivers took part in the session. 

The founder president of the NGO, Harpreet Singh, said the main motto of the session was- ‘You are important. Safety starts with you’. 

“Around 500 children die on roads daily in the world. Keeping it in mind, we are focusing on the special training of school bus drivers. There is a dire need to focus on bus drivers, their attitude and their daily routines as they are the first and last contact with the children in their daily journey to the school,” said Harpreet SIngh.

SS Bains, SP Traffic, Ram Chander, DSP (T), Inspector Sham Sunder, in charge traffic zone 1, were also present on the occasion.
