Dehradun, June 17

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and his Cabinet colleagues led a ‘walk for yoga’ on Saturday evening to create awareness among people about its benefits.

Rawat was accompanied by Ayush Minister Harak Singh Rawat, Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal, Transport Minister Yashpal Arya and Minister of State Rekha Arya.

“A healthy India is unimaginable unless you make yoga a part of your daily routine,” Rawat said as he led the walk from Gandhi Park to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Park here.

It aimed at creating awareness among people about the benefits of yoga and motivate them to participate in large numbers in the main programme on International Yoga Day to be held on the FRI campus here on June 21. — PTI
