Make Julana subdivision, says MLA

Parminder Singh Dhull, the INLD MLA from Julana constituency in the district, has demanded the subdivision status for Julana. He met Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki in this regard on Tuesday.

The MLA informed the Governor that Jind had been included in the National Capital Region, but it was one of the most backward districts in the state as the government was not paying any attention to it.

He said the demand of subdivision for Julana was pending for the past over a decade. Most of the villages in the constituency lack basic amenities and the government was not interested in completing development projects, he added.

“Being one of the oldest districts of Haryana, it is government’s duty to pay special attention towards it rather than neglecting it,” he said.

He said the government should connect the Jind-Rohtak highway with Amritsar so that commuters could get an alternative route to reach the holy city from Delhi. —OC
