Major shake-up in Police Department

In a major shake-up in the Police Department, the state government today ordered transfers and postings of 84 police officers, including IGPs, DIGs and SPs.

IGP Sunil Kumar Sharma, who had been awaiting orders of adjustment in the Police Headquarters, has been posted as IGP, Human Rights Commission, against an available vacancy.

Yoginder Koul, Commissioner Civil Military Liaison, Home Department, has been transferred and posted as IGP, IR Jammu, against an available vacancy.

Garib Dass, DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG, north Kashmir Range, Baramulla, in place of Ghulam Hassan Bhat, while Alok Kumar, DIG, south Kashmir Range, Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Traffic Kashmir, against an available vacancy.

Surinder Kumar Gupta, DIG, CID Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Range, in place of Garib Dass. Ahfadul Mujtaba, DIG, central Kashmir Range, Srinagar, has been transferred and posted as DIG, CID Jammu, in place of Surinder Kumar Gupta.

Ashkoor Ahmad Wani, DIG, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Traffic Jammu, in place of Nisar Ahmad.

Ali Mohammad, DIG, Administration, PHQ, has been transferred and posted as DIG, south Kashmir Range, Anantnag, in place of Alok Kumar. Nisar Ahmad, DIG Traffic, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range in place of Ashkoor Ahmad Wani.

Ghulam Hassan Bhat, DIG north Kashmir Range, Baramulla, has been transferred and posted as DIG, central Kashmir Range, Srinagar, in place of Ahfadul Mujtaba while RC Manotra, Commandant IR-1st Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-14th Battalion, in place of Mir Mohammad Choudhary.

Deepak Kumar Salathia, Commandant IR-5th Battalion has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-7th Battalion, in place of Mohammad Arif Rishu.

Rafiq-ul-Hassan, SSP, Security, has been transferred and posted as Commandant IR-12th Battalion, in place of Shiv Kumar Sharma while Vivek Gupta, SP, Reasi has been transferred and posted as SP, CID, CIK, against an available vacancy.

Sujit Kumar, SP, Kargil has been transferred and posted as SP, Reasi, in place of Vivek Gupta.

Neeva Jain, Assistant Director, Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, Udhampur, has been transferred and posted as SP, Kathua, in place of Pawan Kumar Parihar.

Abdul Jabbar, Commandant IR-8th Battalion has been transferred and posted as SP, Anantnag, in place of Sheikh Junaid Mehmood while Shailendra Kumar Mishra, AIG, CIV, PHQ, has been transferred and posted as SP, Kargil, in place of Sujit Kumar.

Rahul Malik, Additional SP, south Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SP, Kupwara, in place of Mohammad Rashid. AK Mahajan, SP, Railways, Katra, has been transferred and posted as SO to ADGP HG/CD and SDRF against available vacancy.
