Lt Gen Anbu Northern Command chief

Jammu, December 1

Lt Gen Devraj Anbu assumed the charge of the chief of the Northern Command at the command headquarters, Udhampur, today.

The General was commissioned into Sikh Light Infantry in 1980 and has extensive staff and command exposures.

He commanded a Mountain Brigade in the Kashmir Valley, a division in Northeast and the Indian military training team in Bhutan prior to commanding the Tezpur-based corps. Apart from important appointments at the division and corps headquarters in Northeast and J&K, his appointments include tenures at the Military Secretary branch, Staff Duties branch and as Military Assistant to the Chief of the Army Staff at the Army Headquarters.

On assuming the charge, the General conveyed his greetings to all ranks and expressed his commitment to take forward the excellent work by his predecessors and all ranks of the Northern Command in these challenging conditions. — TNS
