Lal Singh launches Leh Health dept website

Minister for Health and Medical Education Choudhary Lal Singh today launched a website of the Leh Health Department — www.lehhealth.org.

He also released a training module on ‘Basic life support’, prepared by the Health Department in association with Police Department.

Earlier, Lal Singh held a meeting with the Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh, Rigzin Spalbar at the DC Office conference hall.

Executive Councilors and councilors of various villages of Leh district were also present in the meeting.

The minister appreciated the health authorities of Leh for achieving 100 per cent immunisation coverage.

He also expressed satisfaction over the functioning of District Hospital, Leh, and other health centres of the district. He stressed on maintaining cleanliness at hospitals and health centres and stressed the effective working of the medical staff with full dedication for satisfaction of patients.

Giving patient hearing to the grievances made by the participants, the minister assured upgrading of hospital laboratory, installation of MRI machine at the facility.

CEC, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh, congratulated Lal Singh for assuming the office of Health Ministry and requested him to consider opening up of a medical institution in Ladakh in line with Jammu and Srinagar. — TNS
