Kirat wins bodybuilding title

Kirat Pal Singh from Mohali emerged winner in the inaugural edition of Guru Randhir Hastir Classic Open Bodybuilding Competition held at Red Cross Bhawan, Lajpat Nagar, Jalandhar yesterday.

Kirat pocketed cash prize of Rs 51,000 besides a glittering trophy. A large number of participants from different parts of country shrugged their shoulders in this competition organised by the Punjab Amateur Bodybuilding Association with the help of Tara’s Fitness Products.

Naresh Trotia of Uttar Pradesh finished as first runner-up and received cash prize of Rs 31,000, while Ashutosh Pandey from Delhi secured the third position and won cash prize of Rs 21,000. The fourth position holder, Sumit of Sonipat, was given a cash prize of Rs 11,000.

Besides, competitors who finished up to the 10th position, were also given cash prizes. All other participants were awarded attractive prizes.

Dr Raj Hastir, president of the organising association, Ravi Prashar, general secretary, were among others who attended the prize distribution function.

The first-10 position holders include Kirat Pal Singh (Mohali), Naresh Trotia (UP), Ashutosh Pandey (Delhi), Sumit (Sonepat), Satinder (UP), Sunny Kumar (Amritsar), Manpreet Singh (Gurdaspur), Sandeep Sunny (Patiala), Happy Singh (Amritsar) and Kamaldeep Singh (Jalandhar).
