Chandigarh, February 26

Haryana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Kiran Choudhry said the NDA government’s first Railway Budget was lacklustre and directionless.

In a statement issued here today, she flayed Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu for ignoring the interests of Haryana.

“The Rail Budget has let down people of Haryana. Neither any new train has been introduced nor any long-distance train has been extended to the state. The promised rail coach factory in Sonepat has not been sanctioned, while the Karnal railway station has not been granted the junction status,” the former Excise and Taxation Minister said.

She blamed the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government for failing to promote the interests of the state. — TNS
