Haridwar, December 3

BJP divisional president Vikas Tiwari has expressed hope that a record number of new members will be enrolled in Uttarakhand. The BJP is targeting six crore new members nationwide.

Addressing divisional unit office-bearers at the party office at Devpura today, Tiwari said under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah, youths were joining the party.

He urged office-bearers to reach out to maximum number of youths and apprise them about the party's ideology and also about the NDA government’s six-month rule at the Centre. Citing the contribution of young voters to the BJP’s win with a record number of Lok Sabha seats, Tiwari said owing to visionary leadership of Modi, youths pinned their faith in the party.

“Now, within just six months of the BJP governance, there is a sharp change in government working on all fronts be it economic, defence, terrorism, black money issue, centre-state relationship, transparency is visible," he said.

Divisional wing women secretary Anamika Sharma stressed on targeting college-university going girl students, as fairer sex too played pivotal role in ensuring party win in all five parliamentary seats of the Uttarakhand.

He said the membership drive should be an active one and willing youths inducted into the party be asked to take part in seminars, workshops, events, forums and even in sit in protests, as this will bring them closer to party’s ideology and working.

Anamika also welcomed Union Minister for Human Resource Smriti Irani for removing German language as third optional CBSE language and bringing in Sanskrit language in the educational curriculum.
