Kejri to visit Dharamkot for meditation tomorrow

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be at Vipassana Meditation Centre in Dharamkot, a tourist spot in Dharamsala, from August 1 to 12.

The centre that remains packed with people seeking to join its meditation courses is ready to receive its VIP guest on August 1.

Pawan Sharma, Vipassana centre in charge here, said Kejriwal would be briefed about his daily routines on August 1 and the course would start from August 2 early in the morning and continue till August 11 evening.

Course schedule

Kejriwal will have to follow a strict schedule. All participants are not allowed to interact with each other. They can pose queries from their teachers at specified intervals.

All participants are expected to get up at 4 am. They have to meditate in their allotted room or a common hall from 4.30 am to 6.30 am. Then breakfast will be served from 6.30 am to 8 am. Then there will be group meditation from 8 am to 9 am. From 9 am to 11 am, the participants will meditate in their rooms or in the common hall.

There will be lunch break from 11 am to 12 noon. The lunch is simple that includes rice and dal. From 12 noon to 1 am, the participants can interact. From 1pm to 2.30 pm, they will meditate in their rooms or common hall. From 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm, there is group meditation in the hall. Again, from 3.30 pm to 5 pm, they will meditate in hall or rooms. From 5 pm to 6 pm, tea and rusks or biscuits will be given.

From 6 pm to 7 pm, there is group meditation in the hall. From 7 pm to 8.15 pm, teachers will deliver a discourse. From 8.15 pm to 9 pm, again there is group meditation in the hall. From 9 pm to 9.30 pm, it is question time from teachers and participants are expected to retire after that.
