Katra varsity prof bags award in biotechnology

JAMMU: A professor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, V Verma, also Dean, Faculty of Engineering, was given the distinguished scientist award at the World Congress on the theme, ‘Biotechnology for healthy and sustainable life’ held in Hyderabad on December 15 and 16.

A professor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, V Verma, also Dean, Faculty of Engineering, was given the distinguished scientist award at the World Congress on the theme, ‘Biotechnology for healthy and sustainable life’ held in Hyderabad on December 15 and 16.

He delivered a plenary lecturer on the topic, ‘Bioprospecting fungal endophytes for bioactive molecules’. The congress was attended by over 500 scientists and scholars from India and other countries. Verma also chaired two technical sessions at the conference. — TNS
