Chandigarh, January 28

Members of the Kashmiri Migrant Patriotic Forum have rued the non-payment of their monthly honorarium for the past three months.

They have accused the UT Administration of being “indifferent” and “insensitive” towards their plight.

Raising the demand for the early release of their monthly honorarium, the forum, in a statement issued here today, said the migrants residing in Chandigarh were not getting the honorarium for the past three months. The forum demanded that the honorarium should be restored with the immediate effect as they were the worst sufferers of the terrorism and facing severe financial crisis. The members said the Union Government was giving honorarium to every registered Kashmiri migrants, but the UT Administration had not disbursed it for the  three months.—TNS
