Kapur replaces Kapoor

Abhishek Varman’s Shiddat had earlier Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor. But now Arjun Kapoor has been replaced by Aditya Roy Kapur. A source says, “Director Abhishek Varman made a few alterations in the script, as suggested by Karan Johar. A slight change was made to the cast line-up. And following that, Varun’s still on board, but Arjun isn’t.” Aditya and Varun share a bonding, too. One that grew on the Dream Team tour. Moreover, Karan, who’s close to Aditya, was keen on casting him and Varun together.

While Alia Bhatt was the initial choice to be the heroine, we now hear that KJo has roped in Jhanvi Kapoor opposite Varun in the project. Had Arjun been part of the film, it would have been a coup as the step siblings would have been part of the same film. Looks like some refreshing cast!
