The war of words between state BJP leaders over Jat reservation intensified today, with state Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu asking Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini to read about the Indian Constitution before making any comment on Rajya Sabha. He said the MP must act responsibly to maintain brotherhood in society.

During a function to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sir Chhotu Ram at Jat Dharmshala today, the FM gave an open assurance from the BJP to the Jat community that they should not be disheartened for reservation. He also said the Jats knew when and where to hit and they were waiting for the right time.

“It’s an irresponsible statement. Saini does not know the thinking behind the creation of Rajya Sabha by our Constitution makers. He must first learn the reasons behind the creation of Rajya Sabha, which was created to nominate intellectuals and experts for running the country. Saini seems to have failed to understand it. He should read and understand the Constitution first,” said the minister.

He also praised the Haryana khaps for playing a big role in improving the sex ratio in the state.

“Our government is serious about providing reservation to the Jats. The CM has formed a special committee and sought a detailed report on it. We are hopeful justice will be done to the Jats,” said the FM.

Union Rural Development Minister Birender Singh and Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki also attended a function at Sir Chhotu Ram Park in Narwana to celebrate his birth anniversary.
