Jukaso Resorts told to pay penalty

For not providing benefits as promised, Jukaso Resorts Pvt Ltd was asked to refund membership fee of Rs 1.40 lakh to a customer and fined Rs 35,000, including litigation fee, by a local consumer forum.

Gurminder Kaur, a resident of Sector 46, averred in her complaint she took the membership of the company for 25 years by paying the above said amount and was issued membership certificate last year.

It has been averred that after the membership, as a first bonus, one week is complimentary for the members of Jukaso Journeys. In August last year, the complainant’s husband made a call to a company representative and expressed desire to spend time in Malaysia with his family and requested to make arrangement of accommodation.

But, Gurminder failed to get proper response to her several mails and phone calls. After her several attempts failed to get any response from the firm, she moved the complaint and sought refund from the firm, which is based in Gurgaon and has an office in Sector 8 here.
