Jimmy to host Oscars

US comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will for the first time host the world’s biggest award show, The Oscars, which takes place on February 26. It was one of the worst-kept yet longest-gestating secrets that Jimmy would host the 2017 Oscars! Now its official, as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has selected the ABC late-night host to top the show. Jimmy confirmed the news by tweeting in a funny way, “Yes, I am hosting the Oscars. This is not a prank. And if it is, my revenge on @TheAcademy will be terrible & sweet. Thx to @alsformalwear.”

This year, Kimmel hosted the Emmys, Jimmy Fallon hosted the Golden Globes, James Corden hosted the Tonys and will host the Grammys, and now Kimmel the Oscars!
