Karnal, April 28

Hundreds of ITI instructors from different parts of the state today staged a dharna outside the CM’s camp office here in support of their demands.

After assurance from Amarendra Singh, OSD to CM, that a meeting would be arranged with the Chief Minister soon, the protesters lifted the dharna.

Sanjay Munde. state president, Sarv Anubandh Anudeshak Sangh, Haryana (ITI Union), said that they had been struggling hard for regularisation of jobs of the contractual employees and till then they had been demanding same salary for the same work.

“There is a huge gap between the wages of the contractual and the permanent instructors. The government should ensure same wages for the same work,” he said.

Earlier, the protesters gathered in Sector-12 and took out a procession towards the CM’s camp office and shouted slogans against the government. They were stopped by the police near the camp office, but the protesters removed the barricades and reached the camp office where they staged a dharna.
