Internet services suspended in Sonepat

District Magistrate KM Pandurang has promulgated prohibitary orders under Section 144 of the CrPC to check the misuse of social media on February 26, which will be observed as black day by the AIJASS. Under the orders, internet services of 2G, 3G, 4G and GPRS would remain suspended for 24 hours – from 5 pm on February 25 to 5 pm on February 26 within the revenue limits of the district. Meanwhile, the DM, along with SP Ashwin Shenvi, inspected the dharna site near the Lath-Joli crossing on the Sonepat-Gohana road today and reviewed security arrangements.
