Institute of Engineering and Technology (Bhaddal)

A two-day workshop on robotics commenced on the campus for ECE, EE, CSE and MCA students facilitated by the ECE department in collaboration with Joy Robotics Private Limited, Mohali. Resourse person JP Kundra demonstrated various robots and shared the intrigues of programing controlled and autonomous robots. Dr MS Grewal, director, campus, gave an encouraging session to the students stressing on the need to enhance their skills as per the demand of the industry.

GGDSD College (Sector 32)

The annual fest of post graduate department of information technology, ‘Phoenix 2017’, was organised on the college campus. It was marked by scintillating performances by Punjabi music band ‘The Landers’.  Chief guest for the event was Jitender Yadav, Director, Higher Education, and Director, Information Technology, UT, Administration, and special guests were Mandeep Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Excise and Taxation, and Ranjiv Sharma, deputy general manager, Central Bank of India. College principal Dr Bhushan Kumar Sharma welcomed the guests.  The event kicked off with various rounds of technical and non-technical events. —TNS
