The Union Ministry of External Affairs has chosen three districts of Haryana to open Post Office Passport Sewa Kendra (POPSK) under the first phase of its new initiative to open Passport Sewa Kendra in each district of the country in collaboration with the Department of Post.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Government said External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has in a written communication to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar informed that the three districts of Haryana — Hisar, Karnal and Faridabad — have been chosen for POPSK.
He said the Union Minister has also informed the Chief Minister that after completion of the first phase, the ministry intended to initiate the second phase of the scheme and efforts would be made to include more districts of Haryana,.
He said the Chief Minister has thanked the Union Minister for including three districts of Haryana in the first phase of the scheme, adding that the opening of POPSK would immensely benefit the people.
