Haridwar, July 10

The Himalayan Environmental Studies Conservation Organisation (Hesco) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Haridwar-based Gurukul Kangri University on scientific and environment subjects.

Both Hesco and Gurukul Kangri University will work on 10 points, including science, environment science, ancient science and environment conservation in particular.

Prof Dinesh Bhatt, Head of the Department, Zoological Science, said the MoU would pave way for research work in the field of science and environment conservation.

Gurukul Kangri University had been a pioneer in vedic, Sanskrit, ancient, historical and environment studies since the past one century. Joining hands with Hesco, which is under the guidance of Padmashree Dr Anil Joshi, would have greater significance for both the institutions, Bhatt added.

Hesco director Dr Anil Joshi said scientists from Hesco collaborating with research fellows, students and academicians from the University would only enhance the research on these current and scientific topics.

The vice-chancellor of Gurukul Kangri University has also expressed happiness over the new collaboration. He said the desired results will be achieved by both sides, which have been quite active in environment conservation.

During the signing of the MoU, registrar Professor Vinod Kumar, Prof PC Joshi, Prof RD Kaushik, Dr Jasbeer Malik, Dr Pradeep Joshi, Dr Pankaj Kaushik and Dr Vinay Sethi were present.
