Abohar, December 22

 

The Sriganganagar police today arrested Ashok Korela of Nand Nagari in New Delhi in a gold investment fraud.

 

Ashok was a former employee of a marketing company allegedly duping investors in gold schemes.

 

A case against him was registered on August 20, 2011.

 

Deputy Superintendents of Police Ashok Meena and Rajinder Dhidharia had conducted a probe on the basis of a complaint lodged by Kapil of Nayianwali village (Sriganganagar), who had been appointed local networking agent to run the business of the company.

 

The company was opened by Lovpreet Singh Laddi of Rahon (Nawanshehar) Punjab.

 

Others named in the FIR included Geeta Kalra, Shan Ali Mohammad, Kalam Ali and Mohammad Abdullah.

 

The complainant alleged that investors had reportedly been duped of Rs 22 lakh.

 

Police said Lovpreet had shifted to Kurukshetra and teams had been dispatched to nab him.
