People associated with any creative field are always as good as their last project, which means, you cannot bank on your past laurels for the success of your future projects.

Despite immense fame Punjabi singer Navv Inder received for his track, Wakhra Swag, the wandering soul knew that his second track had to be ten times better than the previous one. Luckily, this is exactly how it has gone for his recent single, Att Tera Yaar, which within days of its release is already a blockbuster.

With music by Nakulogic, video by Robby Singh and released by Speed Records, Att Tera Yaar features VJ Bani in the video. This twice lucky singer sees this as more than plain luck!

Never sure of

“Wakhra Swag had created a benchmark for me, and I had to, by all means, ensure that Att Tera Yaar was ten times better than previous track, which was one hell of a job. I had to think hundred times before picking up a genre, deciding the music, getting the right lyrics, and then putting everything in a video. All this took almost half-a-year to come through,” he adds.

Of detractors & motivators

If you thought it was an all ‘bhaji bhaji’ case in the Punjabi music industry, well, you haven’t seen the other side of the coin. “If there are 50 people here who will keep you afloat, there are another 50 who will try to pull you down, and this can really get to any artiste. So, the only solution is to follow your heart, be close to your close friends (the ones who don’t consider you a celebrity) and keep making more music. I was under so much pressure after Wakhra Swag, I was being flooded with suggestions. This is the time when you really have to think from a balanced mind.

VJ Bani, the Att

Our video director Robby Singh suggested VJ Bani’s name for the music video, she heard the song and really liked it. Next... you see her doing a great job in the video.

The missing Badshah

Badshah was busy with his own projects, and this time since I was doing something completely different, I decided to work with Nakulogic. This fellow has given an interesting spin to Att Tera Yaar.

A different next

My next project is again going to be different from the previous ones, its music and look would be something that the industry hasn’t seen before.
