Haryana govt announces 2 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance to its staff

CHANDIGARH: Haryana announced 2 per cent hike in DA for employees from July 1, 2016, putting an additional monthly financial burden of Rs 21.92 crore on the state.

The Haryana Government on Thursday announced 2 per cent increase in DA for its employees with effect from July 1, 2016, putting an additional monthly financial burden of Rs 21.92 crores on the state.

Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu said the state government has also decided to give Rs 10,000 in cash to its employees’ in coming month salary.

He said the cash would be sent from Chandigarh to all its state headquaters of Panchkula, and for sub-division and district-head quarter employees, cash arrangement would be made by district authorities.                        

The minister said the cash payment decision was taken after the requests of the employees.                       

He said that finance department has made arrangements for the payments of the increased DA, which will be paid at the earliest.                       

He said the government is taking all measures to ensure maximum cash supply to the state residents.
