Hamid Ansari to address annual convocation at PU

Panjab University is holding its 66th annual convocation on March 25 in the Gymnasium Hall. M Hamid Ansari, Vice-President of India and Chancellor, PU, will be the chief guest. The rehearsal will be held on March 24 at 2 pm onwards in the Gymnasium hall of PU. Keeping in view Ansari’s visit, the PU security has been beefed up.—TNS

No-vehicle road

The VVIP route will be from Gate No-I via Administrative block, Chemistry department and Physics department road up to the Gymnasium hall

• This route will not be allowed for public from 10 am to 1 pm on March 25
• No vehicles will be allowed to be parked on this route on March 24-25
• Visitors/residents of Panjab University should not park their vehicles anywhere on roadside on the campus on March 24-25.
• If any vehicle is found parked in the unauthorised area, it will be towed away by the traffic police of Chandigarh

Gate timing for general public on March 25

• Gate No. 1 will remain open for entry and exit from 6 am to 10 am and after 1 pm; no vehicle will be allowed from gate No. 1 from 10 am to 1 pm
• Gate No. 2 will remain open for entry and exit throughout
• Gate No. 3 will remain open for entry and exit from 6 am to 10 pm
