Jammu, April 26

Several deputations met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here today and brought many of their issues into her notice and sought their redressal.

A deputation of the Gujjar community led by Masud Choudhary demanded setting up of a tribal research centre in Jammu and adoption of a proper rehabilitation policy for the nomadic community.

Another deputation from Doda demanded construction of protection bunds at various places in the district which were washed away during floods. It also sought development of a park at the centre of the Doda town and availability of an ambulance at Paranu Health Sub Centre. A deputation of contractors also met the Chief Minister and sought redressal of their issues.

The CM listened to the demands of the deputations and promised it that they would be properly looked into. — TNS
