Grandeur & glory

Why did you choose this role? 

I was very impressed with the script and my character when the story was narrated to me. I immediately said yes, as it is something that I have never done before. The grandeur and the scale at which they were planning to shoot was another reason for me to do the show. 

This is the first time that you are a part of a historical drama, how is the experience?

The experience has been mesmerising, to say the least. To be dressed as a queen and behave like one is like a dream come true. 

What according to you is the USP of the show?

I can think of many USPs! The show has, first and foremost, the content and grandeur. The period drama, which is high on action, takes the sequences to another level. There is lot of drama as well as emotion. The message of unity, oneness and selfless deeds will touch a chord with audiences.

What did you do in your free time? 

I paid a lot of attention towards my fitness. Being an adventurous person, I also travel a lot.

Does competition bother you? 

No, I have always been secure in the industry. 

What is your definition of a star? 

A star is someone who is loved by viewers. 

What has been your learning from the industry? 

What I have learnt from industry is to be a good human being.
