Chandigarh, December 22

The Haryana Government has decided to provide access of public service through mobile devices in local languages by following the guidelines for delivery channels as published by the Government of India.

While giving this information, an official spokesman said the complexity of Indian scripts in terms of inputting, storage and display has been the major challenge while using Indian languages on mobiles.

Taking these challenges into consideration, the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) has published the guidelines and best practices for delivering public services in Indian languages using a mobile. — TNS
