Anoushka Shankar gets another Grammy nomination

Sitarist Anoushka Shankar, daughter of late sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, has been nominated in the Best World Music Album category for her album, Traces of You at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Thanking her well-wishers, Anoushka said, "Honoured to be Grammy-nominated for the fourth time with my last album, Traces of you! Thank you to Nitin Sawhney for your beautiful production, my sister Norah Jones for her exquisite vocal contribution, and to all the musicians and crew who were involved with the album and tour."

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards nomination list was dominated by British singer Sam Smith, R&B queen Beyonce and Pharrell Williams. The Grammy award ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on February 8.
