Garbage piles up at PGI

CHANDIGARH: Garbage has piled up on the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) campus, only 50 metres away from the renal transplant unit where chronic kidney patients are admittedfor treatment.

Garbage has piled up on the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) campus, only 50 metres away from the renal transplant unit where chronic kidney patients are admittedfor treatment.

All kinds of waste, including bio-medical, has been dumped at the site. However, the authorities have failed to pay attention to it.

Incidently, the site is located behind the site of the upcoming 200-bed hospital at the PGIMER, which is visited for supervision every day by the authorities.
