Gangsters’ aides held in Dehradun

DEHRADUN: In a major breakthrough, the Dehradun police today arrested two persons, including a woman, who were alleged accomplices of the Nabha jailbreak accused Parvinder Singh, alias Pinda.

In a major breakthrough, the Dehradun police today arrested two persons, including a woman, who were alleged accomplices of the Nabha jailbreak accused Parvinder Singh, alias Pinda. They have been identified as Aditya, alias Binny, and Geeta. A search is still on for another accomplice Sunil. The police team have also seized material used to make explosives and clean guns.

Several police teams were constituted after the police were tipped off that Parvinder Singh alias Pinda might be staying in Dehradun. He was arrested by the Shamli police in his Fortuner car on Sunday after he escaped from Nabha. Pinda was on his way to Dehradun from Nabha when he was nabbed in an inebriated condition. 

The police teams led by SP City Ajay Singh raided various places. They kept the mobile phones of suspected individuals on surveillance to get a lead in the case. SSP Sadanand Datte said acting on a tip-off, the police raided a rented accommodation on the Shashtardhara road here, and arrested the two, who belong to Ludhiana.
