In a shocking incident, a speedy dumper crushed four youths and injured one here this morning. The accidents took place between the Dhanpura-Padartha village stretch. The five youths, hailing from Dargahpur Rayasi, were riding two motorcycles when a dumper collided head on with their vehicles in a span of few minutes.

Deceased Suresh (26), Muntyaz (24), Jahangir (22) and Ahsan (25) died on the spot, while Intezar (26) suffered serious injuries. Intezar was taken to the district hospital by local people.

Pathri police station in charge Chandra Bhan Singh said all five youths were daily wage labourers and were on their way to Bhogpur. The dumper driver was arrested and a case registered against him at Pathri police station.—TNS
