Four men electrocuted while repairing tubewell motor in Fatehabad

Four men were electrocuted while repairing a motor installed at a tubewell in a village in Haryana’s Fatehabad district, a senior police official said on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Monday evening.

“The four men, aged 50, 42, 25 and 20, died due to electrocution. They were repairing a motor installed at the tubewell in the fields,” Fatehabad’s Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Singh said over phone.

While three of the victims belonged to Hijrawa village in Fatehabad, the fourth hailed from Haripura village, he said.

Singh said a case had been registered under relevant provisions of the law and further investigations were on. PTI
