Firing accused denies link with Gounder

Amit Sharma alias Meet, the main accused in a recent firing incident between two groups at Mohali, reportedly told the police that he had no enmity with Vicky Gounder and never met or seen him.

Harjinder Singh Bhullar alias Vicky Gounder was one of the six prisoners who escaped from the Nabha jail yesterday.

Manimajra resident Meet, the head of Meet group, was today produced before a local court, which sent him to four-day police remand. He was arrested yesterday. Meet, however, claimed to have surrendered before the police after the Nabha jailbreak. — TNS
